What does any of that mean? It’s nonsense!
Saying that there is a difference between a blog and an email is like saying that the words “I love you” are different if written by hand with a pen or typed by hand with a typewriter.
Anything that is online is available to the entire world-wide web. There may be some cryptographers who may argue this point, but I do not care to argue about the 1 in a million case — I am talking about the vast majority of cases.
is whether people are participating in this topic, this context, this issue, this page, this site….
If so, then please go ahead and tell me what you think — what’s on your mind… right now: in this context (in this web space)…?

If I were on twitter, I would be twittering. But since I’m here, I’m gaggling!! ;D
It doesn’t really matter if you create a wonderful bunch of content and then hide it under a bush. To make your content shine, you need for it to be in a close relationship to a relevant context. The relationship is the medium — the medium which is the message: the domain name. The domain name that is relevant is the one that is related to the cognitive frame of mind (the cognitive state or structure — even more: the aim) of the user. The user expresses his or her own needs in their own language. (see also virtual shelf space)
Have you ever remembered a smell + then remembered a story based on that smell? Maybe you have, but perhaps you didn’t even realize it. Or how about when you try to remember something — you can’t remember it , but if you retrace your steps then you can? You are re-creating the context that helped to bring that idea into your awareness.
One-Size Fits-All search (such as Google or Bing) doesn’t get this at all. Even Youtube search doesn’t put you in a “frame of mind”, but only in a “frame of media” (namely: Flash video). Frames of mind are such things as “news” or “games” … or “business” or “poker” … or “credit swaps” (a sub-frame of “swaps”) or “I’ll see you”.

People are strange - but it doesn’t matter.
If you want to have a relationship with a piece of plastic, then you’re such a drag.
This isn’t really an academic issue: A smile is something everybody everywhere says in the same language.
You notice how relationship and related sound kind of similar? I think that’s kind of relevant, and that’s why I raised it!
;D

I want us to share ideas. I don’t care if you have friends or not: just tell me what you care about — but don’t Feed Me Anything You Think, I want it to be relevant to me. Your meaning + My meaning = Shared meaning.
Please don’t spew all of your RSS all over me. Tell me what’s important to me. If I think the world is PHLAT (pretty hyper, local and topical), then tell me how it’s not (but only since I’m so obsessed with this kind of information), or that you agree, or whatever — but make sure it’s related.
I am he as you are he… — oh, wait: We’ve already been there (see previous link ;). I’m a patient — are you a doctor? I wanna sing — do you know a song? One I can sing out loud? Sing out strong? I am totally enthisiastic about… — no, not about friends… — about: topics. Our relationships are connected via ideas, topics, shared space in the loci of stories in which our lives intertwine….
(to be continued… :)

How are you? — Is everybody happy?
FML — IDK! IMHO, IANAL — ROFL + LMFAO: ROFLMFAO!!
As sites become more about us, there is a greater need to identify who we are — and that is, of course, where the Wisdom of the Language comes in!

If not, you must be ignoring me — today, it is no longer permissible for leaders to not be aware of what their followers are saying (see also Twitter Trends are Meaningless for a description of leaders who are ignorant).
Condescending attitudes aside, what about intellectual property? Companies that continue to claim ownership of ideas are living in the past — it really is as plain & simple as that. The world we live in is no longer one in which significant ideas can be hoarded… and anyways: who wants to hoard significant ideas? Certainly information about preventing and/or stopping disease or illness would not be something you would want to keep secret — or would it?
I am confident that people are actually once and for all beginning to catch on to the web — perhaps in part due to Obama’s victory (though perhaps the chicken-or-egg question is equally valid: did Obama win the Election because people had already become aware of the significance of the web?).
Organisations that pretend to work magic behind closed doors are OUT: They will not be tolerated. Look here, brother: Don’t you waste your time on me.

The thing that you sat in front of and stared at?
1 Good Thing about TV for Advertisers was: Pay Once, Reach Everyone (at least in theory)
there was an interesting panel discussion between representatives from LinkedIn.COM, Xigg.DE and StudiVZ.de
Would it make sense to have a Marketing-VZ, a Developers-VZ (and so on)?
One of the panelists responded: They’re ALL on OUR social website.
Heh,… So now we’re back to television?

Note, BTW, that this is only a step on the way to being online 4.6! ;D
It’s really quite simple: Whereas Web 2.0 was about applications (apps became liberated from web pages and spread across the world wide web), Web 3.0 is about people. Applications don’t matter (except when they are used by people to interact with other people). So for example, a telephone call uses hardware (wires, microphones, speakers, etc) and software applications, but what really matters is that Tarzan gets through to Jane (so the most basic technology for human interaction in human language).
Any time hardware or software applications interfere with the way that humans want to interact, they have failed — period.
It means that you are running a significant risk if you code an application to interact with your customers. We all know that to date no computer has been built which passes the Turing test (which would mean a user could not distinguish the computer from another human). The critical question is: can you afford to lose a potential customer because a computer application has put them off?
How much does one more person cost? How much does one more web app cost? How much does one more person benefit? How much does one more web app benefit? These are the questions companies need to ask. And my hunch is: Many / Most companies should be employing people more than they presently are (whether on a contractual basis or as employees) to interact with their customers — in any case: In Web 3.0, people are liberated from being stuck on a single website.

IT is the web. Your network. You live in overlapping networks of communities. You may network with friends, you may network with partners, you may meet up with experts, you may go to parties, but you gotta net-work someone!
If not, then the first step you need to take is to find yourself. Or how about if you tell me: Do you suppose you can enter “please tell me what I should do” into Google and get a useful answer?
said yesterday that he found the answer to a question he had using something he calls Aardvark (apparently, this is a service in which you can enter your social contacts, and then the service will forward your question to all of these contacts — the community he ultimately connected with is actually @ wikihow.COM).
– but to each their own, I guess. I have used the wikihow.com community before — it is generally quite good, and as long as you understand that the quality of the information varies wildly, then it’s indeed a good place to find answers (with that added precautionary “grain of salt” ;)
The upshot is that link algorithms are now rapidly becoming less significant as the method for finding information (I have predicted this for a long time already, since links are not very reliable indicators of trustworthy information), and they’re now rapidly being replaced by networks — networks of expert and/or enthusiast communities.
Ah, yes: Therein lies the rub! My answer is: Use the Wisdom of the Language — do you have a better idea?

I wrote this down a little over 2 years ago in the “Wisdom of the Language“.
This post is essentially my entry to FIR’s Next09 “Share Economy” Contest.
The above (”Wisdom of the Language“) article describes how language is essentially the marketplace for a share economy. Other articles I have recently written related to this concept include:
and perhaps most notably: On the Web, It’s Freedom 2, Publishing 0
Also noteworthy are discussions (e.g. about the definition of “social media”) posted at the Conversative.Net Blog, and also the article titled “World 2.0 :: Too Small to Fail“.
Finally, I recently posted my “opinion” about the meaning of “FaceBook” in a 12seconds.tv video — see: http://tvne.ws/oped/128408
Thank you for your interest!
